Carmen Group helped a mobile outreach skills training program obtain over $1.75 million in federal Recovery Act funding, state grants, local Workforce Investment Act funding, and private-sector match support to rapidly deploy an innovative and fast-track mobile job training and placement program that addresses the workforce development needs of advanced manufacturers and unemployed workers in economically distressed areas of Mississippi. This resulted in approximately 250 new manufacturing jobs, 150 additional spin-off jobs created or retained, $75 million in projected five-year economic impact, and the further validation of a model for replication throughout the country.
