Foreign National Relief Agency

African State

Carmen Group engineered a multi-segment investment and development coalition to develop a petroleum-rich state's infrastructure and enhance international business relationships. We created mechanisms and metrics to assure credibility and independent verification from planning through implementation.

Foreign Private Security and Business Intelligence Company

Carmen group created a strategic plan with proactive communications and advocacy in the advance of congressional investigations into private security companies. We facilitated effective U.S. brand positioning and developed marketing opportunities with government agencies.

International Research Company

Carmen Group helped an innovative research company with extensive on-the-ground resources in developing countries present a unique capability to U.S. federal agencies and global businesses. We created substantive cases for research application in international security and consumer market expansion.

International Development Partnership

Carmen Group brought together investor and developer partners and facilitated negotiations with an African state to launch a water purification project. We created strategies addressing every aspect from initial capitalization through local logistical implementation.

Global Construction Company

Carmen group helped one of the largest ex-U.S. construction companies to identify, and secure new opportunities in U.S.-driven global projects. We helped them negotiate complex relationships such as payment for a bridge between two countries.

Foreign Defense Technology Manufacturer

Carmen Group helped a foreign manufacturer present a highly sophisticated surveillance technology to U.S. agencies including Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and National Reconnaissance Office.

African Country Partnership Outreach

Carmen Group helped a major U.S. City's mayor form reciprocity arrangements with several African communities. We organized and participated in trips to Africa and helped create marketing collaborations.

International Relief Organization

Carmen Group drafted and helped advance the International Food Relief Partnership Act (IFRPA), creating a two-year, $8 million grant funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Under this newly created grant program, the food relief organization was able to compete for and win previously unavailable funds.

Asian Auto Manufacturer

Entry in the U.S. auto market, including establishing a domestic manufacturing unit. The company achieved a 2.2% share of the U.S. auto market in its first full year of operations.

Foreign Privatized Rail Company

Carmen Group worked with the Administration to help defeat an attempt by the foreign government to reclassify and devalue assets of the privatized company after major U.S. investors had taken a significant stake in the new venture. We were able to demonstrate how a viable, investment-rated company would generate more value than shrinking a short-term capital obligation. The rail company and major U.S. investors were protected from major asset devaluation caused by an externally
imposed liability.

Russian Economic Development

Carmen Group helped raise a Russia state's profile by arranging substantive meetings with corporate and government leaders, leading to new business initiatives. We helped the state create a new, privatized business in which a US company invested $57 million.

Carmen Group helped create and facilitate a partnership between a foreign corporation and a Korean Manufacturer to make parts for use in U.S. industry. The partnership created over $400 million in value for the manufacturer.

Russian Foreign Trade

Carmen Group worked with key members of the House International Relations Committee to facilitate a dialogue with the state's government, leading to the resolution of several commercial disputes. The state avoided negative provisions in the congressional legislation known as the "Silk Road Act."

Russian Corporation

Carmen Group worked with a U.S. subsidiary of a Russian Corporation to develop joint ventures in top-level trade missions. The firm organized a series of top level briefings with business and political leaders in Washington D.C., and facilitated the return of the historic Fabergé Egg Collection to its home in Russia.
