Postal: Proven Process

Carmen Group’s lobbying process for postal issues involves representing the interests of stakeholders on critical postal and postal pension reform issues before Members of the Senate and the House of Representatives, U.S. Postal Service officials and the Administration. On behalf of a Fortune 500 direct mail marketing company, we championed the successful passage of legislation that corrected past problems with the postal pension system and postponed a postal rate increase that would have cost the client tens of millions of dollars. Carmen Group also has a strong success records in the areas of pension reform, Negotiated Service Agreements, rate flexibility and labor policy changes that benefit both the industry and the unions.

Our Process’s Research and Strategy phase involves working closely with the client to focus their mission and define an achievable goal. We analyze the political climate and draw on our policy expertise and understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes to create an insightful tactical plan.

During the Execution phase, Carmen Group meets with key decision makers and public policy officials to advocate on behalf of our clients’ goals. Our process calls for fully deploying the firm’s full resources at key junctures to ensure client success.

Upon Victory, we immediately move into the final phase, Future Positioning. We seek to share the accomplishment as broadly as possible among clients, Members and staff, constituents and communities and lay the groundwork for growing future success.
